A dinosaur footprint dating back 220 million years was found by a 4-year-old on a beach in Wales.
Lily Wilder found the well-preserved footprint earlier this month at Bendricks Bay, and scientists say it could help them understand how dinosaurs walked. National Museum Wales paleontology curator Cindy Howells told the BBC that the print, which measures nearly four inches long, is “the best specimen ever found on this beach.”
Wilder found the print while walking on the beach with her father, Richard Wilder, according to the report.
“Lily saw it when they were walking along and said, ‘daddy look,’” said her mother Sally Wilder. “When Richard came home and showed me the photograph, I thought it looked amazing. Read more from New York Post.
