The U.S Coast Guard is searching for the missing couple. A man at the beach reported that he saw a woman fall into the water and another man jump in after her.

A man fishing nearby notified the Coast Guard reporting he witnessed the woman fall into the water and the man jump in after her. The man and woman are presumed to have been swept towards a cove, near Dinosaur Caves Park.

KSBY reached out to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office to see if any missing persons reports were filed and there have been none since yesterday.

UPDATE (6:44 p.m.) – Search and rescue teams are still attempting to locate and make contact with the couple, according to the U.S Coast Guard.

Officials said crews are checking with some swimmers in the area and other beachgoers to see if all of their parties are accounted for.

Rescue crews said they plan to keep searching until all signs of distress are mitigated.

UPDATE (4:13 p.m.) – The U.S Coast Guard is still actively searching for the missing couple.

Earlier, when KSBY reached out to CAL FIRE SLO, their crews said they were no longer searching, however other search and rescue crews are still attempting to locate the couple.

In an update from the Los Angeles Coast Guard office, a Command Duty Officer said a helicopter is searching up and down the coastline and will continue to search throughout the evening.

A woman with blue hair in a bathing suit was standing on a cliff near Dinosaur Caves Park when she was swept away by a wave. A man, also in a bathing suit, jumped in after her, according to officials.

The couple was believed to have been swept towards a cove, but was not spotted there by rescue swimmers.

UPDATE (4:13 p.m.) – Search and rescue crews with CAL FIRE SLO have called off the search for the couple.
