Leave it to Key West!
Key West Historic Seaport is greeting visitors with a one-of-a-kind Christmas tree made of lobster traps—a whimsical way to celebrate the holiday season as well as the region’s rich commercial fishing heritage.
The installation, created from some 45 traps and adorned with twinkling lights, garland, and red ribbons, is a focal point on the half-mile-long harborwalk that winds through the seaport.
The seaport was once home to Key West’s commercial shrimping fleet and other maritime industries. Today it is a tourist destination that features waterfront restaurants and boutiques. It is also a hub for charter fishing, eco-tours, and excursion boats. Read more from Southern Living.
